Here we go

So, the other night I looked at my husband and said, "I think it is time."  In our house that can mean so many things, but at this particular moment it meant that I could no longer stem the flow of technology in my life.  It was time to create a blog. 
This blog will hopefully serve as a visual documentation of who I am, what I love to do, and how I spend my days.  My joy starts with the Lord and my family.  Through serving them both, my passions have developed.  When I am not busy homeschooling the kiddos, I express myself through cooking, baking, and all things related to our home. 
I am a "retired" English teacher and can easily while away an afternoon reading a good book.  Classic authors are my favorite, but I occasionally find a more modern read that I can't put down.
